As the mucosa itself cannot withstand heavy loads, it is important that the base be as wide as possible so that the masticatory forces are distributed over as large an area as possible, thus achieving a safer and more pleasant bite. The upper base covers the entire palate, and the lower base has the shape of a horseshoe, leaving free space for the tongue. He went on to complete his MDS in the field Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from M.A Rangoonwala Dental College, Pune. He has also completed his Diploma in Laser Dentistry with Society of Oral Laser Applications, which is associated with the Bernhard Gottlieb University, Vienna, Austria. Most recently he won the “EXCELLENCE IN LASER DENTISTRY” Award at the Indian Health Professional Awards – 2017, where he was also nominated in the category of “Excellence in Conservative and Endodontics” and “Young Dental Achiever of the Year”. He has also received the Special Jury Award: “SPECIALIST DENTIST OF THE YEAR: ENDODONTIST” at the Famdent Excellence in Dentistry Awards – 2015. Dr. Gaurav Poplai was also nominated in the category of “Outstanding Dentist of the year” and his Clinic – The Dental Arch was nominated as “Practice of the Year” at the same awards function. Dr. Kanika Madan completed her BDS from the Institute of Dental Studies and Technology, Meerut, India. Dr. Kanika Madan went on to complete her MDS in the field of conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from K.D. Dental College, Mathura, India. She has garnered enough clinical experience working for Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital and Star Health Private Ltd. (Clove Dental) in New Delhi, where she was the Clinic Head for one of their more than 30 Dental Clinics. She is a Life Member of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) and the Indian Edodontic Society (IES).

It was such a tricky case, that if I would have gone somewhere else it would have been a root canal case by default , but Doctor went an extra mile to manage the same with a filling .
