We have the different valences of dentistry including preventive medicine, aesthetic medicine, periodontology, oral surgery, implantology and orthodontics.We believe that treatments should be carried out in the least invasive way possible and in accordance with the principles adopted in Scandinavian countries, where prevention is emphasized, trying to preserve natural teeth whenever possible.The clinic is located near the Forum Algarve, a few minutes drive from Faro airport and with easy parking.All treatments are carried out using modern technological means and excellent materials. We value communication with our users so that treatments are based not only on oral health and tooth maintenance, but also on the expectations and priorities of each user. When carrying out treatments, several aspects are important, such as: hygiene, prevention, the quality of the material used in restorations, the use of specific devices for root canal treatment, among others.When cavities get too big, bacteria get to the nerve inside the tooth. In this case, the tooth will have to be devitalized. Although root canal treatment is not possible in all cases, as is the case with fractured teeth, whenever possible this is the recommended treatment because it allows the preservation of the natural tooth.The techniques used for devitalization, or root canal treatment, have evolved significantly over the past 20 years. In our clinic, the traditional manual cleaning of the canals has been replaced by mechanical cleaning using an “Apex locator” that allows cleaning the canals completely, precisely and effectively. Compared to the manual method, this technology allows root canal treatment to be faster, more comfortable for the patient and with a much higher success rate.The ideal way to replace a tooth is through a dental implant. The implants are made of titanium and are inserted into the bone serving as an artificial root on which a crown will later be placed. Implantology is perhaps the area of ​​dentistry with the greatest evolution in recent decades. It is now possible to extract a tooth, place an implant and make a provisional crown in a single visit.
